My Resolve explores the potential power derived from the relentless pursuit of survival; combined with an individual and communal need to create, this nascent strength manifests hope and imagines new possibilities. “Stop (Me)” functions, even when pressed by the direst circumstances, as an audacious rallying cry; it is a provocation and statement of defiance. In turn, the title track, “My Resolve,” represents a commitment to endure. This endurance, as personified by “Champion Rendition,” involves a fight that is won simply because it is fought. This combat and the subsequent “Rumble” and reverberations are reflected and absorbed by both the artist and the listener. If resolve is defined as the determination of a course of action, then My Resolve – as an EP – refers to the forging, through an artistic self-immolation, of a developing yet fortified self.
